TDL is true HID, the innovative illumination that was once the exclusive domain of high-end imports. 8000K has an approximately 2850lm output, which is about 3x the light output of the traditional halogen light and slightly less light output compared to the 8000K. While it has a bit lesser light output, it emits bluer light than the 8000K.
Please note: most customers have a common misconception that the higher the K (Kelvin temperature) the brighter it gets, but infact, it is the opposite. The K rating is inversely proportional to the light output, therefore the lower the K the brighter the light output. Also Xenon runs cooler and than your traditional halogen, therefore it will not melt your housing.
8000K is the One that fits in everyday driving while not losing HID's coolness. The brightness of color temperature is inversely relate to the number of color temperature itself. The higher the color temperature is, the less bright it is.
8000K is somewhere in the middle so that give you some idea where it stand among other color temperature headlight. Nevertheless, it's a HID, regardless of it's color temperature, it still give you 3000+ lm, far far greater than halogen lamp. Though not as bright as 5000K, you wont be disappointed by it brightness.
